Māori and Pasifika Trades Training: Auckland

The Challenge

When you first find out about Māori and Pasifika Trades Training, it’s hard not to feel a little bit warm inside. These guys are providing free trades training for young Māori and Pasifika people, and helping them get jobs in the booming trades sector.

The main challenge with MPTT’s website copy is it needed to connect with two very different audiences: Māori and Pasifika who are interested in the trades, and employers in the industry.

 

 

The Solution

We created MPTT’s website copy from scratch, tailoring it to their two distinct audiences. In particular, we researched how young Māori and Pasifika spoke – such as observing their posts on Facebook. This helped us write copy they could relate to, while still keeping the tone professional in order to appeal to MPTT’s partners in the trades industry.

In our work with MPTT, we’ve also handled media releases and media pitching, and written strategic documents, infographics, social media posts, eNewsletters and case studies.
